Math was never my strong suit, but I really enjoyed geometry. Reading this article reminded me of that experience in high school, but more importantly it reminded me of what is at stake in how we educate our children even in subjects that once were taken for granted as so mundane and basic as to never be controversial. Maybe I will add Euclid to my summer reading list…or at least I will be grateful that I was forced to do “proofs” in my high school geometry!
