“He answered, “Whether or not he’s a sinner, I don’t know. One thing I do know: I was blind, and now I can see!”” John 9:25
This man had it right. He could not explain how his life was transformed, but he knew it was transformed. He was blind from birth but now able to see. He could not explain why his life was transformed, but he knew who transformed his life. He had done nothing different that day, but he had met someone different that day. He gave glory to God by pointing his finger at Jesus and saying, “Throughout history no one has ever heard of someone opening the eyes of a person born blind. If this man were not from God, he wouldn’t be able to do anything” (John 9:32).
What about you? Has your life been transformed? Maybe you cannot explain how or why, but you are different because of who you encountered, Jesus. For you, it may not be as dramatic as being blind one day and able to see the next, but if you have encountered Jesus, He changes you. Pause today and reflect. How am I different today than one year ago? Ten years ago? Fifty years ago? Sometimes and in some ways, He transforms us quickly. Other times, He does so slowly.

Still not sure how He has transformed you? Look back to the places of your greatest pain or difficulty. Think again about how you are different. Just like the blind man, you may discover that the closest connection with Jesus and the greatest transformation occurs in the places of great pain. Give glory to God and point your finger at Jesus!
