“When the earth and all its inhabitants shake, I am the one who steadies its pillars.” – Psalm 75:3
Rarely in the course of human history has the earth and all its inhabitants been shaken at the same time, but looking around the world today we see much shaking. Even the pillars we have come to rely on such as government, healthcare, education, and the economy are shaking. Are we to panic?

No! One pillar remains steady across the world. The faithful, true Church redeemed by the blood of Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit remains steady because the Eternal God who made the earth steadies her. As we are steadied by the Eternal One, it becomes our responsibility and role to steady the pillars around us. Beginning with our own families and then extending to our local schools, businesses, hospitals, and government we speak, “peace!” because of the “peace!” that Jesus has spoken over us. We model humble patience because of the humble patience that Jesus exhibited. We extend compassion because of the compassion Jesus extended towards us. We endure hardship joyfully and hopefully because we know that Jesus endured and was made “perfect through sufferings” (Hebrews 2:10). In all things, we look not to the shaking pillars but to the Unshaken Foundation to find our confidence and courage. Then we give that confidence and courage to others. May the Eternal Creator steady you, Church, pillar of the world!
You are more loved than you can imagine by one who’s limitless power is “steadying the pillars.” Trust Him!
